Beijing-Tibet International Rally Competition and Rally Travel |
Beijing-Tibet International Rally Competition and Rally Travel, approved by the government, organized by Beijing Municipal Sports Committee and China Travel Service Head Office, is the finest example of endurance rallying in China today. Extreme interest from rally enthusiasts at home and abroad is expected. The course will include a 4,800 km stage running from the capital City Beijing 100 meters above sea level to the twisty gravel roadway with over 5,000 meters of vertical climb. The millennium's rally adventure highlights a world of terrain of China-everything from the open, flat countryside to winding mountain passes to dense,. Shady jungles even to the vast desert, and the Tibet plateau.
Apart from the challenge of endurance, the exploration of the beautiful landscape and unique culture of minority groups in west China is another attraction for the participants. The rally features many world famous cultural heritages in China, the romantic silk road, the Longmen Grottoes, the Terra Cotta Warriors, the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and lots more.
